Registration Fee—The annual, non-refundable registration fee is $30. (Plus $10 for each additional family member). Students have the opportunity to receive free registration fee every Spring for the following year. Watch your newsletters for more information.
Attire Fee—Each student’s attire fee is customized to her/his needs. Inquire at the studio office to determine your dancer’s specific needs. All female students must purchase a Gotta Dance leotard to be worn to all classes. A new leotard is recommended to be purchased every year but is not required if a leotard from the previous year remains in good condition.
To make it easy on our dance families, a yearly tuition amount is calculated and divided evenly into 10 ½ monthly payments. To avoid confusion tuition payments are due by the 1 st of each month regardless of studio closure or student absences (August - June). We offer a grace period until the 5th of each month to avoid a $10 late fee. Your credit card on file will only be charged if payment is not received by the close of business on the 5th of the month. All payments are non-refundable.
For the ease of payment purposes, at the time of registration families place a credit card on file. Many dance families choose to use this card and participate in our automatic payment system for each month’s tuition; however, you may choose to pay by cash, check, or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, and Discover). To ensure all payments are credited to the appropriate account, cash payments require a receipt and check payments require the student’s name to be written in the memo section. If your account is set-up on automatic payment, please be sure the card on file is up-to-date. If a payment is missed because of a card error, a $10 late fee may be imposed.
Your dancer’s recital is the most important day of her dance year. We work all year toward improving technique and our hard work is evident in our once-a-year dance recital. Unlike many studios, we present all costs of participation up front and easily lumped into two payments. This full production requires a $40 recital fee per student due by February 1st, which includes two recital tickets, one recital t-shirt, one program, one practice CD, and your portion of the stage rental fees. Additionally, costume fees of $70 for the first costume and $60 for each additional costume are due to Gotta Dance by November 1st. Costumes ordered after December 1st will be an additional $10. Costume payments may be broken down into several smaller payments – ask at the office for details. Participation in Recital is mandatory. If your schedule does not permit participation in Recital, the studio office must be notified in writing by November 1st so your account will not be charged. Recital and costume fees are non-refundable.
There is a $30 fee for checks returned by the bank for any reason, and your credit card on file will be automatically run for the amount of the returned check plus the $30 fee. In addition, all future payments must be made by cash, money order or credit card.
We encourage students to attend all classes but we understand sometimes absences cannot be avoided. Although we are unable to prorate for missed classes, we encourage students to take advantage of make-up classes through the month of April. Please contact the office for appropriate days and times.
Proper dance attire is important to dance classes. Please be sure to adhere to the attire guidelines of your specific class including using only dance shoes purchased through the studio office and pulling hair away from the face in a ponytail or braid.
To avoid injury and make the most of your dance experience, please do not be late to class. We warm up at the beginning of class, and dancers who miss the warm up could risk injury. Therefore, dancers more than 10 minutes late may be asked to watch that day.
All classes require a minimum number of students in order for a class to run. To meet the needs of our customers and the ever-changing dance trends, Gotta Dance reserves the right to change its schedule before or during a season in order to adhere to this policy.
SCHEDULE CHANGE FEE – A $10 processing fee will be applied to all schedule changes made after September 1st.
WITHDRAWAL - If withdrawal is necessary, a drop form must be filled out and turned in to the office, which gives your 30-day notice. This notice must be submitted at the end of a month to fulfill the 30 day notification requirement. During this time, you are still responsible for all payments including tuition, late fees and recital charges. If you do not notify our office, your account will remain active, and you will still be responsible for payments regardless of the student’s absences. This must be handled through the office, not through the teacher. All fees paid to Gotta Dance are non-refundable regardless of withdrawal.
Please make sure you are back on time to pick up your child. You may run errands while your child is in class, but make sure you are prompt! We are not responsible for your children before or after dance class. If you are more than ten minutes late in picking up your child, a fee of $5 per 10 minutes will be charged to your credit card.
Generally, 2-5 yr old dance classes will enter and dismiss through the side door in the breezeway. 1st grade and up classes will dismiss through the front doors.
The blinds in the rear of the studio will be opened for informal observation on your dancer’s last class of the month through December. This will enable you to see the progress your dancer is making on a monthly basis. Please be sure while observing you are as minimally distracting to the students as possible, which means refraining from taking pictures or video and waving to your dancer. If parents become too distracting to the dancers, we will be forced to close the blinds.
